Express Cargo

Express is the middle option, and for most commercial freight it is the right one. It moves ahead of surface consignments on the same road network, at a fraction of what air costs.

What "priority" actually means here

Express consignments are loaded first and move on the scheduled vehicle rather than waiting for capacity. When a vehicle is full, express freight travels and surface freight waits for the next one. That is the whole mechanism, and it is why express transit times are shorter and more predictable rather than merely advertised as faster.

Choosing between the three modes

We run three modes and it is worth picking deliberately:

• Surface — the economical option. Right for bulk goods, stock replenishment and anything where a day either way does not change the outcome.
• Express — priority loading on the same road network. Right when there is a date attached but the value of the goods does not justify air.
• Air — the fastest, and the most expensive by a wide margin. Right when a day of delay costs more than the freight bill.

Current transit times for each mode on each of our lanes are published on the route pages, taken live from our rate system. Compare them before you choose — on the shorter Chhattisgarh lanes the gap between surface and express is often small enough that surface is the sensible call.

On our own lanes

On the routes we operate ourselves, express consignments booked before the evening cut-off travel that night, which in practice makes express and overnight delivery the same movement. The distinction matters more on longer lanes such as Raipur to Delhi, where surface, express and air genuinely differ by days.

What travels this way

Express suits commercial freight with a deadline behind it: stock for a sale that starts on a date, components feeding a production line, replacement parts, goods promised to a customer. It is priced on chargeable weight like every other mode, so the decision is genuinely about time rather than about the type of goods.
