Warehousing & Storage

Storage attached to the network, so goods can wait without leaving our custody.

Storage exists here because transport needs it. A consignment that arrives before the receiver is ready, stock waiting on a sale date, goods held between legs of a journey — all of it has to sit somewhere, and moving it to a third-party godown adds handling and a gap in accountability.

Storage inside the transport chain

Because our warehouses sit at our branches, goods in storage have not left our custody. There is no separate handover to a storage provider, no second set of paperwork, and no argument about who was holding a consignment when damage occurred.

It also means storage can be added to a booking rather than arranged afterwards. If you know at the point of despatch that the receiver cannot take delivery for a week, say so and the consignment is held at the destination branch on arrival.

Free days, then a daily rate

Most bookings include a number of free storage days. That allowance is set per booking and is shown to you at the time of booking rather than being a single company-wide figure — it varies with the service and the arrangement.

After the free days are used, storage is charged at ₹10 per day. The same rate applies to parcels not collected on time, which is the most common way customers encounter storage charges without having asked for the service.

What we can hold

General commercial cargo, packaged goods, machinery and household items. The restrictions in our booking rules apply in full: nothing hazardous, nothing perishable without prior agreement, nothing prohibited under law. Declare what is in the consignment accurately — a warehouse full of correctly declared goods is a manageable risk, and one containing something undeclared is not.

Where storage is available

At our branch facilities, with the largest at the Raipur hub. Capacity varies by branch, so for anything substantial or long-term, call the branch before committing rather than assuming space exists.

Unclaimed consignments

Goods left indefinitely are a problem for both sides. Storage charges continue to accrue, and consignments that remain unclaimed are dealt with under our booking rules. If a consignment is going to sit longer than expected, tell the branch — an agreed arrangement is always better than an accumulating bill.
